Our location makes us a perfect base from which to explore the area being situated on Dartmoor which offers some beautiful scenery including the River Dart and of course the stone Tors that Dartmoor is famed for. With an area of some 368 square miles to choose from you can still find quiet hidden areas and with around 450 miles of public rights of way there are plenty of places to explore within the National Park. Some of the better known locations to visit include Haytor, Hound Tor, Dartmeet as well as Princetown with its famous prison and the clapper bridge at Postbridge. Where ever you go you are assured of some amazing scenery and wild rugged landscapes.
For those wanting a visit to the seaside we are within easy reach of the South Devon Heritage Coast with around 49 miles of coves, sand dunes, cliffs and salt marsh as well as seaside towns and villages. Some of the better known areas include the beaches at Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands with their shingle beaches ideal for a day on the beach, or you might want to explore some of the seaside towns like Dartmouth or Brixham to see what is on offer.
Other attractions include Adventure Parks, Theme Parks and Zoos for busy energetic days out or for quieter more relaxed days there are Steam Train Rides and River Cruises to be enjoyed as well as the historic Powderham Castle and Buckfast Abbey, all within easy reach of us.
